Since 1997, Jay has been a member of Toastmasters International, a global organization that helps its members to hone their communication and leadership skills. He has given more than one hundred speeches within Toastmasters groups, earning him the level of Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM), an award that is attained by only 1% of all members. In the leadership track, he served as an Area Director, club treasurer, and a mentor to newly-formed Toastmasters clubs in District 4.
